WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
Enaex Australia is seeking an experienced and motivated Leading Hand to join our operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for operating Mobile Processing Units while also supporting site supervision, guiding teams, and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of blasting services.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the tools while taking on increased responsibility, stepping up into leadership, coordinating tasks, and supporting operational performance on site.
You will bring a strong commitment to safety, the ability to lead by example, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, aligned to our values.
Your day to day will look like:
- Operate Mobile Processing Units and associated blasting equipment safely and efficiently
- Support the preparation and loading of blast patterns
- Assist with escort and unloading of explosive deliveries
- Perform Step-Up Supervisor duties when required
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and legislative requirements
- Support stock control, documentation, and site administration
- Identify hazards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain strong communication with site teams and customers
Ideally you will have;
- Proven experience operating Mobile Processing Units (MPUs)
- Experience in explosives, mining, or heavy industry environments
- Current HR Licence
- SSAN Licence, Standard 11, and Coal Board Medical
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to step into supervisory responsibilities
- Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
