Your new team
The Delivery Enablement Manager is accountable for the tools, processes, and practices that enable effective delivery across the organisation. The role leads and owns the design and operation of the delivery management toolset and the supporting processes, including delivery portfolio management and product lifecycle management delivered in collaboration with the business. The Delivery Enablement Mangers is responsible for the controlled change and release of those tools and processes.
Blending product ownership, technical leadership, and people leadership, the role treats delivery tooling and process as an internal product: setting its direction, maintaining its quality and integrity, and continuously improving how delivery teams plan, track, and report their work within a regulated insurance environment.
The Role
Delivery Product Ownership

Own the vision, roadmap, and prioritised backlog for the delivery management toolset and supporting processes.

Design the delivery portfolio management approach and tooling in collaboration with the business, ensuring alignment with how the organisation plans, governs, and reports.

Communicate the intent, value, and impact of changes to stakeholders.
Technical Leadership

Provide technical direction for the delivery toolset, including configuration, integrations, data architecture, and standards.

Ensure tooling is well-architected, secure, maintainable, and integrated across the delivery landscape with sound data integrity.

Deliver hands-on technical guidance and set standards for tool configuration and support.
Change & Adoption

Own the change, release, and adoption of delivery tools and processes, ensuring updates are planned, tested, and rolled out with minimal disruption.

Manage communication, training, and adoption strategies so changes land effectively with delivery teams and the business.

Ensure all changes meet governance, risk, and compliance requirements with appropriate approvals and audit trails.
Capability Development

Provide leadership, coaching, and support to delivery professionals across teams.

Establish and maintain consistent delivery standards, practices, and enablement materials.

Identify capability gaps and address them through training, documentation, and improved processes.

Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and succession planning.
Continuous Improvement

Drive ongoing improvement of delivery processes, practices, and the operating model through better tools, automation, and streamlined workflows.

Keep the toolset and processes aligned with the organisation's evolving hybrid Agile/waterfall delivery approach.
What experience you’ll bring
-
Tertiary qualifications in IT or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of extensive relevant professional experience and education.

Demonstrate experience leading technology delivery tooling, platforms and processes across complex environments.
- Proven experience with delivery, portfolio management and application lifecycle management ( ALM)platforms such as Jira, Jira, Tempo, Miro, Azure DevOps, Planview, or similar.

Experience blending product ownership, technical leadership, and people leadership.

Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies, portfolio management practices and the product lifecycle

Experience managing the change and release of tools and processes in a controlled environment.

Demonstrated capability in designing, implementing and continuously improving delivery framework, processes and tooling.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

Experience in financial services, ideally insurance, or another regulated environment.
Desirable
- Agile certification (e.g., SAFe, Scrum or equivalent).

Platform or tooling certifications relevant to the delivery toolset.
-
ITIL certification, particularly in Change and Release Management.
