We are a busy and growing bakery/café committed to producing high-quality pastries, cakes, desserts, and baked goods. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Pastry Cook to join our team and contribute to delivering exceptional products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake, decorate, and present a wide range of pastries, cakes, desserts, breads, and specialty baked products.
- Follow established recipes while maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation standards.
- Monitor ingredient quality and ensure proper storage and stock rotation procedures.
- Assist with menu development and seasonal product offerings.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic work environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Operate and maintain baking equipment safely and efficiently.
- Manage production schedules to ensure products are available and fresh for service.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant Certificate III in Patisserie or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Pastry Cook.
- Strong knowledge of pastry production techniques, baking methods, and dessert preparation.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required.
