Provide efficient, friendly customer service while operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, processing fuel and retail transactions, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the service station. Ensure the store and forecourt are clean, well-stocked, and compliant with safety and cash-handling procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide prompt, professional service.
- Process fuel, retail and other transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Handle cash, EFTPOS, mobile payments, and reconcile tills at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Monitor fuel pump activity and authorise fuel sales through the console.
- Restock shelves, fridges and promotional displays, rotating stock to maintain freshness.
- Prepare basic food and beverages in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop, counters, coffee area, restrooms, and forecourt.
- Monitor fuel levels and report equipment faults, spills, or safety hazards to management.
- Verify identification for the sale of age-restricted products such as tobacco.
- Respond to customer enquiries, complaints, and requests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Assist with stock deliveries, inventory counts, and merchandising.
- Follow workplace health and safety, security, and emergency procedures, including responding appropriately to drive-offs or other incidents.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service is preferred.
- Strong cash-handling and numerical accuracy.
- Comfortable using POS systems and handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, honest, and able to work independently.
- Flexible to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Pay: $35.18 – $45.89 per hour
