As Workcentre Operations Supervisor you'll lead a team delivering a wide range of operational tasks such as fire prevention work and forest management activities in Victoria's State Forest and other public land.
The Workcentre Operations Coordinator oversees staff within the workcentre, plans delivery of projects and programs with the use of plant and other equipment to support the delivery of our organisational priorities.
You will be responsible for recruiting, training and tasking a diverse and enthusiastic team. You will also be managing a large vehicle and machinery fleet, so it you like diverse tasking in your working day then this is the job for you.
This role has an emergency response focus and may require deployment across Victoria for fire response and planned burning, so a high level of fitness is required.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Experience in managing works programs in one or more of the following: - planned burning, unsealed road management or other operational forest management activities including experience in management of staff.
- Experience and understanding of forest firefighting techniques, the Australian Interagency Incident Management System and other emergency response activities.
This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2028. The work location for this position is Mansfield.
