We are looking for a reliable and organised Part-Time Rostering Assistant to join our team and assist with the day-to-day coordination of Support Workers and client services.
About the Role
We are seeking a Part-Time Rostering Assistant to support our Rostering Manager with the day-to-day coordination and administration of staff rosters.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Rostering Manager, Case Managers, Team Leaders and Support Workers to help ensure client services are appropriately covered, and rosters are accurate and up to date.
This is a support role and would suit someone who is organised, detail-oriented, confident communicating with people and able to manage changes in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Rostering Manager with the day-to-day preparation and management of staff rosters.
- Assist with coordinating Support Workers based on client needs, staff availability and service requirements.
- Assist with entering Support Worker availability into the rostering system once the Support Worker has been hired and the completed availability form has been provided by the Team Leader.
- Assist with updating Support Worker availability in the rostering system when Support Workers provide changes to their availability.
- Assist with preparing staff rosters based on client schedules, staff availability and service requirements.
- Assist the Rostering Manager with temporary and last-minute roster changes, including identifying suitable Support Workers based on their availability and arranging replacement staff when required.
- Assist with updating rosters when clients request temporary changes to their services.
- Communicate with Support Workers regarding their shifts, availability and roster changes.
- Assist with liaising with Case Managers regarding changes to client schedules or service requirements.
- Assist in ensuring all rosters are accurate and up to date.
- Assist the Rostering Manager with roster-related enquiries from Support Workers.
- Work collaboratively with the Rostering Manager and wider team to ensure client services are covered and delivered as scheduled.
- Escalate complex rostering issues or matters requiring further direction to the Rostering Manager.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Reliable, responsible and able to work independently.
- Calm and solution-focused when dealing with last-minute roster changes.
- Proactive and willing to assist the Rostering Manager and wider team.
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy.
- Confident communicating professionally with Support Workers, Case Managers and other team members.
- Comfortable using computers and learning new rostering and scheduling systems.
- Able to prioritise tasks and work effectively within deadlines.
- Professional, friendly and respectful in their communication.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive client and staff information.
- Previous experience in rostering, scheduling, aged care, disability, community care or administration is highly desirable.

Mandatory Criteria / Requirements
- Australian working rights – applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.
- National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain.
- Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
- Evidence of immunisation history, including COVID-19 vaccination history.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience in rostering, scheduling, aged care, disability, community care or administration.
- Previous experience using a client management, rostering or scheduling system.
- Understanding of the Support at Home Program.
- Current driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
