About the role
The Regional Manager, HE plays a strategic role in achieving international enrolment goals for EDU’s higher education entity, Ikon. Responsible for managing an active, top-tier agent partner network, this position ensures seamless cross-departmental operations with Admissions and Student Experience while proactively maintaining low provider risk ratings through rigorous visa risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Management
- Own and deliver individual, regional and campus-specific international student recruitment/enrolment sales targets for EDU's higher education courses (Ikon), and work collaboratively with the team towards achievement of group targets
- Oversee the conversion of pipeline from enquiry/application to enrolment
- Drive sales programs and processes to increase sales conversion for the international market segment
- Focus on the conversion of pipeline from enquiry/application to enrolment
- Provide support to ensure that Education Agents provide accurate, timely and comprehensive advice and support to prospective students
- Accurately forecast sales results, working closely with the Head of International Student Recruitment and where applicable, with the General Manager, Future Students
- Assist in the development of marketing and promotional activities for the Institutions and Courses and assist Education Agents;
- Provide insights into market developments and related recruitment opportunities
Account Management
- Manage and coordinate education agent partners including identification of new agents and establishment and maintenance of agreement and incentive arrangements
- Contribute to the agent marketing program, including marketing to and with agents
- Ensure agent management is conducted in accordance with relevant policies and regulatory requirements
- Problem-solving with agents and students as required
Marketing
- Contribute to the development and implementation of EDU’s (and Ikon's) strategic international student marketing and recruitment plan
- Evaluate and report on international market opportunities for EDU’s HE product portfolio
- Be the expert for the state and regional international student market, ensuring EDU maximises opportunities for revenue growth in the segment
- Contribute to the development and execution of international student marketing campaigns, working closely with the EDU brand marketing teams
- Adhere to, monitor and report on budgets as required
Compliance
- Ensure all practices remain aligned to relevant policies and regulatory requirements
- Participate in relevant industry and regulator workshops on compliance and regulation as required
- Participate in internal and external compliance and quality assurance activities as required
- Ensure students recruited via agents meet the Genuine Temporary Entrant and relevant student visa requirements
Financial
- Assist the finance team as required in following up with agents and student concerning unpaid fees
Education, Experience & Skills

Tertiary qualification in relevant field, post graduate preferred
- Minimum 3 years' sales and marketing experience in international student recruitment, within higher education sector
- Knowledge of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act (2000) and its associated regulations, including National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018.
- Experience in developing and implementing marketing and sales plans, and in account management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office365 and PRISMS
- Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, or other CRM systems
- Cross cultural awareness
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work autonomously and in a team
- Positive attitude, results-focused, and strong attention to detail
