WELDWORKS PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Welder and/or Boilermaker to work across our client’s construction projects, including residential homes, commercial buildings, and public spaces throughout Sydney.
This is a full-time position, where you will work as part of a supportive and multidisciplinary team.
Position: Welder and/or Boilermaker – Full-Time
Salary: A$90,000 – A$98,000 per annum plus superannuation
Work Location: In person
What We Are Looking For
Applicants should demonstrate the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or Certificate IV in Engineering – Fabrication Trade / Welding
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a Welder and/or Metal Fabricator
- Good knowledge of welding techniques, processes, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication plans
- Good physical fitness, stamina, and strength
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
Welder Responsibilities
- Cut, shape, prepare, and weld metal components using a range of suitable welding techniques.
- Inspect and test completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with required standards.
- Repair or replace damaged metal components where necessary.
- Maintain welding tools and equipment and follow workplace safety procedures at all times.
- Work closely with fabricators, boilermakers, engineers, and other team members to complete projects within required timeframes.
Boilermaker Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and install metal structures, components, and equipment according to project requirements.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and fabrication plans before commencing work.
- Carry out welding, cutting, shaping, and bending of metal components for fabrication and assembly.
- Inspect completed components and assemblies to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Perform maintenance and repair work on metal structures and equipment as required.
