Workplace Location
Our facility is located in Shoal Bay Port Stephens, one of NSW favourite holiday destinations. Harbourside Port Stephens is perfectly positioned to enjoy the Peninsula and the surrounding areas.
To support the Physiotherapist in delivering safe, effective, and resident-centred physiotherapy and mobility programs that promote independence, wellbeing, and quality of life for residents within the Residential Aged Care Facility.
- Assist with delivery of individual and group exercise programs as prescribed by the Physiotherapist
- Support restorative programs, mobility initiatives, and post-falls interventions
- Encourage resident participation in exercise and mobility activities
- Observe residents during sessions and report concerns to the Physiotherapist or nursing staff
- Assist residents with safe mobility and transfers within scope of practice
- Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of physiotherapy sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident attendance and participation
- Work collaboratively with Physiotherapists, nursing staff, lifestyle teams, and care staff
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance, or willingness to obtain
- Experience working in aged care, health care, or as a Personal Care Assistant
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to follow clinical instructions and delegated therapy programs
- National Police Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (where applicable)
- Current Influenza Vaccination
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination in line with organisational requirements
