We are seeking experienced doctors to join our expanding national telehealth team on a flexible contractor basis.
Our technology is designed to make telehealth simple and efficient for doctors. The platform offers an easy-to-use clinical workflow, streamlined patient information, electronic prescribing and administrative support, allowing doctors to focus on providing high-quality patient care.
The role involves conducting telephone consultations for common general practice presentations, repeat prescriptions, medical certificates, referrals, and pathology or imaging requests where clinically appropriate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing safe, professional and patient-centred telehealth consultations
- Assessing and managing common primary care presentations
- Prescribing responsibly and within ConsultNow’s clinical policies
- Maintaining clear and accurate clinical documentation
- Identifying patients who require physical examination, urgent assessment or face-to-face care
- Communicating clearly and respectfully with patients
- Providing timely consultations and appropriate follow-up care
Essential requirements:
- Current unrestricted General Registration with AHPRA
- Minimum PGY4 level or equivalent clinical experience
- Current medical indemnity insurance covering telehealth practice
- Valid Australian working rights
- Strong clinical judgement, communication and documentation skills
- Reliable internet connection and access to a private workspace
Previous experience in general practice, emergency medicine, urgent care or telehealth is desirable but not essential.

ConsultNow does not provide Schedule 8 medications or benzodiazepines through routine online consultations. Doctors retain responsibility for independent clinical decision-making, and all prescribing must be clinically appropriate and compliant with Australian regulations and ConsultNow policies.
Pay: $150.00 – $200.00 per hour
