Located on Homer Street in Earlwood, Little Kalymnos Taverna brings the warmth and spirit of Greece to a welcoming neighbourhood setting. Inspired by traditional recipes and island hospitality, the menu celebrates classic Greek cuisine made for sharing and savouring. Our core vision is quality and freshness, where all our food is prepared on premises daily by our culinary team. We only source quality ingredients from local and international suppliers. At Little Kalymnos Taverna, we are passionate about sharing our love and passion for quality food and dining to our customers. Due to our rapid expansion over the years, Little Kalymnos Taverna is looking for a qualified and experienced Chef to join our business located in EARLWOOD NSW 2206, who will perform the following duties and responsibilities:
· Undertake menu planning in consultation with Head Chef
· Oversee and participate in the preparation and cooking and serving of entree, main meals, desert etc in accordance with specified menus.
· Determine quantities to be cooked and size of portions to be served, taking into account dietary requirement (medical, ethnic, personal needs) of the customers.
· Check quantity and stock received and notify suppliers of deficiencies.
· Oversee washing and cleaning of floors, crockery, utensils, work surfaces and other kitchen's equipment to ensure that the necessary hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained in the kitchen and dining rooms as appropriate.
· Ensure that the appropriate clothing, including head wear, is worn at all times in accordance with the Council guidelines
· Co-operate fully with the statutory inspections and implement recommendation as appropriate.
· Act as supervisor to the kitchen staff on shift
· Deputise for the Head Chef during his/or absence
· Perform other duties and/or responsibilities of Chef as required from time to time
Personal Requirements
· Can work calmly and effectively under pressure
· Has at least a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and 12 months of relevant work experience as a Chef
· Can work unsupervised
· Ability to take direction
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Excellent communication skills
· Has passion for great food and enjoys cooking mouth-watering dishes

Salary: $80,000pa + superannuation
Working hours: approx 38 hours per week

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
