The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to transition from the workshop floor into a Quality Assurance and Workplace Health and Safety role, where you can use your technical maintenance knowledge to improve compliance, quality and workplace safety systems, auditing and continuous improvement activities across a leading aerospace organisation.
Working alongside experienced Quality and Compliance and Workplace Health and Safety professionals, you will receive support and training while developing your knowledge of aviation regulations, quality management systems, auditing, airworthiness compliance and workplace health and safety requirements.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how things work, has a strong eye for detail, and wants to influence quality and workplace safety outcomes beyond the maintenance bench.
You will assist with audits, compliance monitoring, investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives that help ensure our maintenance operations meet the highest industry and regulatory standards. The role includes involvement in workplace health and safety and risk management activities, however the primary focus is on quality assurance, compliance and operational excellence.

What You Will Bring
- Experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Engine Technician, Component Technician or similar aviation maintenance role.
- A desire to move into Quality Assurance, Compliance or Auditing.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to work with technicians, supervisors, managers and regulatory stakeholders.
- An interest in aviation regulations including CASA, EASA and FAA requirements.
- An interest in workplace health and safety application and regulatory requirements
Skills | Qualifications | Experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead, communicate, organise, and administer teams of multi-skilled personnel.
- Experience using various enterprise digital solutions e.g. IFS, Microsoft, etc.
- Experience in an aerospace propulsion or component / MRO operations or similar environment.
- Willing to learn new skills and desire to working quality and safety (WHS and Aviation Safety) compliance.
- Exceptional organisational, planning and change management skills.
- Ability to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and/or Aviation Security Identification Card
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively monitor and assist in the development of compliance assurance programs aimed at achieving a ‘World Class, Best Practice, Right Practice’ standard and maintaining operational integrity across ISO 9001, Part 145 and regulatory quality requirements.
- Provide advice and support on quality and compliance matters relating to the provision of aviation maintenance services for the PT6 and TPE Programs.
- Undertake audits within an established Quality Management framework, including internal, supplier and compliance audits.
- Conduct external audits of subcontractors to assess their suitability to perform contracted tasks for TAE Aerospace.
- Manage audit findings, corrective actions, continuous improvement initiatives and compliance records within the Quality Management System.
- Contribute to risk management, change management and quality assurance activities that support ongoing regulatory compliance.
Provide limited support to workplace safety and aviation safety reporting processes as required.
