As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to identify new opportunities, strengthen industry relationships, and expand our presence throughout Western Australia.
The Opportunity
This is a senior business development role focused on generating new business and developing strategic relationships across Perth metropolitan and regional WA.
We are looking for a proactive, commercially minded professional who understands the fit-out and construction environment and can leverage existing industry relationships to create opportunities and drive revenue growth.
You will work closely with our leadership team to identify new projects, develop client relationships, and position the company for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies to generate new opportunities across Perth and regional WA.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, commercial property owners, developers, builders, architects, designers, project managers, and procurement teams.
- Identify and pursue upcoming shopfitting, refurbishment, and commercial fit-out projects.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, industry events, and direct client engagement.
- Prepare and present capability statements, proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Manage the sales pipeline from initial contact through to project award.
- Represent the company professionally at client meetings, industry events, and networking functions.
- Collaborate with estimating, project management, and operational teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Achieve agreed sales, revenue, and growth targets.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in business development or sales leadership within shopfitting, commercial fit-outs, construction, interiors, building products, or related industries.
- An established network of industry contacts within Western Australia.
- Demonstrated ability to generate and win new business.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-motivation, initiative, and a results-driven approach.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- Applicants with an established network of decision-makers within the WA retail, commercial construction, property, hospitality, and fit-out sectors will be highly regarded and given preference.
Additional Selection Criteria
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- A proven history of securing new clients and developing long-term business relationships.
- Strong knowledge of the Western Australian commercial construction and fit-out market.
- Experience identifying and pursuing project opportunities from concept through to contract award.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with estimating, project management, and operational teams.
- A professional, consultative approach to business development and client engagement.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
