We’re looking for an experienced Kitchen Hand / Chef Assistant for our cafe Haven Eatery.
Haven Eatery is a family-owned café in Marrickville, and we’re looking for a reliable, hardworking Kitchen Hand / Chef Assistant to join our team.
This is a fast-paced café environment, so we’re looking for someone who can stay organised under pressure, work efficiently, and be a positive part of the kitchen team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Chopping and preparing ingredients
- Assisting the chef with daily kitchen operations
- Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean
- General cleaning and maintaining food safety standards
- Helping with service prep and pack down
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or café
- Good knife skills and food prep experience
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Positive attitude and able to handle busy service periods
