If you're reading this, there's a good chance you can write better than I can. Which is exactly why we need you. This ad has been revised, refined, edited and, yes, even run past AI. But rather than spend another afternoon searching for the perfect wording, we'd rather find the person with the right skills to make our communications shine.
About Us
Gateway Health is a not-for-profit community health service delivering primary health and welfare services to individuals, families, and communities across Northeast Victoria and parts of Southern New South Wales. With a team of over 300 dedicated staff, we operate across the Ovens Murray region and are committed to improving health outcomes for all people, including those facing social, environmental, and cultural barriers to care. We celebrate diversity and actively work to reflect the communities we serve.
About the Role
This rewarding part-time opportunity (53.2 hours per fortnight), based in Wodonga, is your chance to help tell the stories that matter. How you spread your hours is up for discussion. School-hour days? Absolutely. Longer days with more time off? Also an option. We're more interested in finding the right person than squeezing everyone into the same timetable.
You will create engaging digital campaigns, maintain and enhance our website, promote our services, attract great people to join our team, encourage community support and donations, and strengthen meaningful connections with the communities we serve.
Every campaign you deliver will help raise awareness, build trust, strengthen community connections, and contribute to positive outcomes for individuals, families, and communities.
If you've read this far and thought, "I could definitely do a better job than whoever wrote this," then we'd love to hear from you.
This role is classified under the Victorian Stand-Alone Community Health Services (Health and Allied Services, Managers & Administrative Officers) 2022-2026, Grade 3 ($42.83 per hour + superannuation).

Ideally, you are the person who sees this advertisement and immediately starts mentally rewriting it. (We respect that.)
You'll bring:
- A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, business, or another relevant discipline.
- Experience creating and managing digital content that people want to click on.
- A good understanding of accessible communication and health literacy principles, because great marketing should reach everyone.
- The flexibility to occasionally work outside normal business hours or attend off-site events when the best stories are happening.
Bonus Points If...
- You don't break into a cold sweat when someone says, "Can you just make this pop?"
Benefits
We're pretty confident you'll enjoy the work and the team, but the perks are not too bad either.
