Wilton Ridge Public School and Public Preschool is a new primary school being constructed within the Panorama Estate at Wilton. The school is scheduled to open on Day 1, Term 1, 2027, to meet the needs of the rapidly growing local community.
Wilton Ridge Public School is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Assistant Principal to join our growing leadership team from Term 4, 2026, and assist the principal and staff to plan all aspects of school establishment to ensure successful delivery.
Wilton Ridge Public School will open with enrolments from Preschool to Year 6. The preschool will accommodate up to 60 children. The school will feature 24 flexible learning spaces, specialist teaching areas, and contemporary facilities that foster engagement, wellbeing, and collaboration across all stages of learning, with 3 special education classrooms designed to meet the needs of students requiring additional support.
Located on Dharawal Country, Wilton Ridge Public School will provide a modern, inclusive, and community-focused learning environment that reflects local values and the Department’s commitment to excellence, equity, and cultural responsiveness in public education.
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary:
1. A highly visible leader who builds authentic relationships and collaborative partnerships with all stakeholders to develop and foster a culture of continuous school improvement, inclusive practice, and high student engagement.
2. Proven capacity to build, inspire and mentor staff to incorporate innovative pedagogy using a data driven, integrated approach to curriculum delivery to maximise student learning.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to an equitable education, with the capacity to lead the implementation of culturally responsive and high quality wellbeing programs that meet the needs of all learners.
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
