Introduction to Opportunity
We are seeking applications from passionate and qualified Group Exercise Instructors who are committed to delivering exceptional member experiences. We are currently looking for instructors with Reformer Pilates qualifications, along with additional group fitness certifications, who can create engaging, inclusive and safe class environments while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.

Peninsula Leisure (PL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Frankston City Council, is an industry leading organisation focused on reimagining community health and wellbeing experiences, currently through the management of Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (PARC), The Pines Forest Aquatic Centre (Pines), Frankston Skate Park and – as of July 2026 – Centenary Park Golf Course!

Responsibilities of this role include leading and supervising participants during group fitness classes, delivering exceptional customer service, and creating a positive, inclusive environment that supports member engagement and wellbeing.
Key Selection Criteria
Ensure participants feel welcome, advising new participants of class procedures
Deliver classes that are fun, encouraging and maintain high attendance levels
Educate participants with safe exercise techniques and constantly monitory safety
Ensure sufficient preparation time for setting up
Stay after class to answer any question and interact
Ensure members are booking and checking in for classes
Ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times
Maintain a professional relationship with members and ensure that all communications related to members are positive
Foster and lead a commitment to personal service excellence
To conduct classes / group sessions at specified time and on occasions assist with filling in classes if available
Actively contribute and participate in regular in-house training sessions
Maintain currency of qualifications relevant to the position
Develop and foster a club culture amongst members and guests and promote other fitness and recreation activities within the centre
Provide a professional public image and maintain a safe, informative and friendly environment
Achieve class averages as set by Group Exercise Coordinator, actively teaching in 3 months
Hold and maintain current registration with an accepted peak fitness body that demonstrates currency through CPD/PDP or Education Points requirements
