Casual Disability Support Worker – Indonesian Speaking

About the Role
CarePro is seeking a female Disability Support Worker who speaks Indonesian to provide compassionate and reliable support to an elderly NDIS participant based in Kensington, Melbourne.
The successful candidate will provide person-centred support to assist the participant to maintain their independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and daily living support
- Prompting and supporting the participant with medication routines
- Meal preparation and assistance with meals
- Supporting the participant with community access and appointments
- Providing companionship and social support
- Supporting mental health and emotional wellbeing
- Assisting with household and daily living tasks where required
- Following the participant's care and support plans
- Maintaining accurate support notes and documentation
- Working collaboratively with the participant, family and CarePro team
About You
We are looking for a female support worker who:
- MUST speak Indonesian fluently
- Has previous experience supporting elderly participants
- Has demonstrated experience in personal care
- Has experience supporting participants with mental health needs
- Is compassionate, patient, reliable and respectful
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is flexible with availability and willing to work around the participant's needs
- Is able to work independently and as part of a support team
- Respects participant choice, dignity, privacy and independence
Essential Qualifications & Checks
Applicants must have the relevant qualifications and current checks, including:
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or equivalent
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check, where applicable
- National Police Check
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- Relevant medication/personal care training and experience
- Current driver's licence and access to reliable transport is desirable
