Join Kanda as a Residential Care Worker and help create safe, stable homes for young people.
In this role, you’ll support young people to build everyday skills, strengthen relationships, and move toward a more positive future. You’ll be backed by consistent training, practical tools, and local leadership support, so you can focus on delivering reliable, high-quality care.
Using The Sanctuary Model and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), you’ll work within a trauma-informed framework and shared language approach guided by our 8 core values.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide consistent day-to-day care in a supportive home setting
- Build positive, trusting relationships that offer stability and encouragement
- Support daily routines, schooling, appointments and recreational activities
- Follow tailored care plans that reflect each young person’s goals
- Maintain clear, professional documentation

What You’ll Need
- Current driver’s licence (minimum P2)
- Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Flexible availability with a minimum of one sleepover shift a week preferred
- Completed or willingness to enrol in a Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work, Social Work or related field
- Experience with young people (or in disability, mental health, aged care, childcare) is valued but not essential
