Meriton is seeking a skilled Rope Access Supervisor & a Rope Access Technician, specializing in water leaks and building remediation to oversee and execute projects involving high-rise buildings and structures.
This role combines technical expertise in rope access techniques with a deep understanding of waterproofing, leak detection, and remedial construction methods.
As a Rope Access Supervisor, you will lead a team of technicians in ensuring efficient and safe execution of projects aimed at resolving water intrusion issues and restoring building integrity.
Key Responsibilities (Rope Access Supervisor):
- Demonstrate proficiency in rope access techniques and ensure compliance with industry standards (IRATA, SPRAT, etc.).
- Plan, organize, and supervise rope access operations related to water leaks and building remediation projects.
- Conduct thorough site assessments to identify areas of water ingress and structural deficiencies.
- Develop detailed work methodologies and strategies to address identified issues effectively.
- Implement advanced leak detection methods such as infrared thermography, moisture meters, and dye testing.
- Lead and mentor a team of rope access technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.
- Ensure Quality Assurance and compliance by monitoring work progress, meeting client specifications, industry standards and implementing corrective measures as necessary
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing project updates, and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to develop effective remedial solutions.
Key Responsibilities (Rope Access Technican):
- Safely perform rope access tasks in compliance with IRATA protocols, Australian work health and safety regulations, and applicable industry standards.
- Conduct site assessments to identify remedial work and structural deficiencies.
- Carry out façade works, including but not limited to glazing, rigging, waterproofing, leak detection and rectifications, caulking, cladding, concrete and render patching, painting, and pressure washing.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, supervisors, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Maintain strict compliance with workplace safety procedures and Quality Assurance systems.
- Assist in rigging and lifting operations as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Rope Access Supervisor/Technician or similar role.
- Experience including but not limited to glazing, rigging, leak detection, waterproofing, cladding, caulking, concrete/render repairs, painting, and pressure washing.
- Certification in rope access (IRATA Level 3 - supervisor / IRATA Level 2 - technician), with a strong focus on safety and operational excellence.
- In-depth knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and waterproofing systems.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in executing complex remediation projects.
- Ability to work at heights and in challenging environments, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
