Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that meets licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate curriculum and learning activities aligned with early childhood education frameworks and developmental milestones.
- Support children’s social-emotional development, positive behavior, self-regulation, and independence.
- Observe, assess, and document children’s development and learning progress using approved assessment tools.
- Individualize learning experiences to meet the diverse needs, interests, and abilities of children, including those with special needs or developmental delays.
Health, Safety & Well-Being
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children at all times.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures, including supervision, hygiene practices, and emergency protocols.
- Administer basic first aid when required and respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records related to attendance, incidents, and health requirements.
Family & Community Engagement
- Build positive, respectful, and professional relationships with families.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding children’s progress, daily activities, and any concerns.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, conferences, and family engagement events.
Collaboration & Professional Practice
- Work collaboratively with other educators, assistants, and support staff to ensure a cohesive program.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Reflect on teaching practices and engage in continuous improvement.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Administrative & Program Support
- Assist with room documentation, lesson planning, and program evaluations.
- Support center policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to maintaining an organized, clean, and well-equipped classroom environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
