About the Role
As Head of Faculty – Science, you will:
- Demonstrate expertise in teaching to Stage 6
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the new NESA syllabi and principles of curriculum reform
- Lead and inspire a diverse team across disciplines including Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Environmental Science within an innovative curriculum structure
- Drive a culture of inquiry, experimentation, and evidence-based learning
- Oversee the design and delivery of innovative, rigorous curriculum aligned with NESA requirements the International Baccalaureate framework alongside contemporary practice in inquiry learning
- Champion the use of data analysis and reflective practice to drive continuous improvement in student outcomes
- Foster a professional environment where collaboration, mentoring, and continuous improvement are embedded
- Lead a team of outstanding practitioners both within Teaching and Professional and Operational staff
- Contribute to the School’s broader academic strategy and leadership community

The role will be offered as an ongoing teaching role with an initial 3 year fixed-term leadership contract. The role attracts the relevant teaching salary depending on accreditation level (between $99,803 - $140,989) and a Leadership Level 3 Allowance.
