Senior Infringement Review Officer
- Full time, fixed-term position (until July 2027)
- Delivering fair, consistent infringement review for our community
- $87,101 - $100,905 per annum (pro rata to be applied) plus Super and RDOs

About the role
As a valued member of our team, you will contribute to the supervision of the Infringement Review Team by supporting an innovative, engaged, customer-focused and high performing team.

Key responsibilities
In this role, you will deliver high-quality outcomes that support the objectives of the team and the broader organisation. You will build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide professional advice within your area of expertise.
You will undertake timely and accurate assessment of applications for a review of a decision to issue an infringement notice by Council’s Authorised Officers.
You will assess Infringement Reviews (Appeals) and investigate the validity of claims in line with the Infringements Act 2006, team guidelines and procedures to produce legally sound decisions to proceed with enforcement or withdraw.
You will identify opportunities to improve processes, contribute to projects and initiatives, and ensure work is completed in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues to support service delivery and achieve shared goals.

Employment Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in a regulatory and/or customer service role, with infringement review and management experience (preferred).
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Infringements Act 2006 and Fines Reform Act 2014.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering an exceptional standard of customer service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to coach, train and mentor staff and deliver timely and effective feedback.
- Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
- Preferred applicants will be required to undergo a National Police Record Check and hold a valid Working with Children Clearance.
