About the Facility
Roshana Lysterfield Aged Care is a 50-bed welcoming residential aged care home providing high-quality, person-centred care in a warm, inclusive and supportive environment. The home offers comfortable accommodation, communal living spaces, beautifully maintained gardens and outdoor areas designed to promote wellbeing, dignity and meaningful social connection for residents.
Roshana Willowbrooke Aged Care consists of 48 thoughtfully appointed beds and provides an intimate, supportive environment where every resident and team member is known, valued, and cared for. Surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens and leafy outlooks, the residence embraces the natural beauty of the region, creating a peaceful setting where residents and their loved ones can relax, connect, and enjoy their surroundings.
We are looking for Maintenance Officer to join our aged care team at Roshana Lysterfield Aged Care and Willowbrooke Aged Care, in a Full‑time capacity.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Officer to join our team and ensure our aged care facility remains safe, functional, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in their work, and can manage a variety of maintenance tasks in a busy environment.
What You Will Be Doing
- Perform general maintenance and repair work across the facility
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and issues
- Maintain building systems, equipment, and fixtures
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs
- Ensure the facility grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Coordinate with external contractors as required
- Maintain records of maintenance work and report any risks or hazards
What You Will Bring
- Previous experience in maintenance, handyman, or facilities roles
- Practical skills across general repairs (e.g. plumbing, electrical, carpentry, gyprock, ceiling and wall repairs – basic level)
- Current and Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
- Reliable, proactive, and safety-focused approach
- Good communication skills and ability to work with a diverse team
- A National Police Clearance or NDIS Screening Check, or willingness to obtain this
