Job description
The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Dewatering Fitter / Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced tradesperson to contribute their expertise to a growing and reputable organization in Canning Vale
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine job requirements.
- Fitting, assembling, and installing machinery and equipment, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and other mechanical components.
- Using hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and other relevant equipment to perform fitting tasks.
- Aligning and leveling machinery and equipment using various methods.
- Testing the operation of assembled machinery and equipment for proper functioning.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults and performing necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Fabricating and modifying metal parts as required.
- Working with various materials, including steel, aluminum, and other alloys.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborating effectively with other tradespeople and team members.
- Potentially training or mentoring apprentices or less experienced fitters.
Skills and Experience:
- Successful completion of a relevant trade qualification as a Fitter or Mechanical Fitter (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade).
- Demonstrated experience 5 years working as a Fitter in a relevant industry.
- Strong ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong commitment to safety.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $145,000.00 – $155,000.00 per year
