About the Opportunity:
The Women’s Health Nurse provides individual and population-based health services, focused on prevention, early intervention, and health promotion.
You will deliver clinical women’s health services, develop partnerships with local providers, and support women to achieve improved health literacy and long-term wellbeing.
Your work will include:
- Providing women’s health clinics offering cervical screening, breast health education, pelvic floor assessments, STI screening, contraceptive and pregnancy support.
- Delivering counselling, consultation, and case coordination, with referrals to other relevant services.
- Planning, implementing and evaluating programs that address local women’s health needs.
- Building networks and partnerships to strengthen service access across the district.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, community partners and key stakeholders to deliver high-quality, culturally safe, and equitable care.

About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Class C drivers license allowing them to delive4r services across the district.
- Current authority to practice unrestricted as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Understands the social determinants of health and the unique needs of women across different life stages and backgrounds, with the main focus on women experiencing health inequities or limited access to healthcare, while also offering support to women seeking alternative pathways of care.
- Support women with reproductive health options and facilitate delivery of women’s health clinics.
Experience working across community-based and outreach settings.
