About the role:
Third‑Year Advanced Trainee (VGMTP Western Alliance Fellow).
Western Health offers a unique and highly sought‑after Fellow in Geriatric Medicine role for senior trainees seeking advanced clinical experience, leadership development and involvement in service innovation.
The Geriatric Medicine Department is a large, dynamic service with 30 Consultant Geriatricians and comprehensive programs across acute, subacute, community and specialty care.
Western Health is a major partner in the Western Training Alliance of the VGMTP, providing a rich educational environment and strong cross site collaboration.
The Fellow position is structured as:

0.5 FTE Western Alliance Fellow (VGMTP)

0.5 FTE Clinical Duties

Typically two 6‑month rotations

Usual rotations include the Dementia Support Unit and Residential In‑Reach
Key responsibilities:

Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women’s prison located in Ravenhall.
