Experienced Sushi Chef required for Niji Sushi Bar located in Hurstville, NSW. Working hours Fulltime (38 hours) per week. A passion for cooking and respect for work ethics are essential to this fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Ø Responsibility for all operational aspects of the kitchen.
Ø Preparing and cooking food
Ø Planning menu items
Ø Estimate food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
Ø Ensure quality and presentation of all foods
Ø Training and developing kitchen staff
Ø Discuss food preparation with management, dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
Ø Receiving & storing food stocks, kitchen supplies and equipment
Ø Advising on cooking procedures and demonstrating techniques
Ø Discussing food preparation issues with senior management
Ø Maintaining quality, preparation and presentation of dishes quality
Ø Implementing systems & procedures
Ø Implement, explain and enforcing hygiene regulations & secure workplace
Ø Select and train staff
Ø Freeze and preserve foods
Qualifications and Experience
- AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management
- Experience worked as Chef for more than 1 years
