Make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families receiving CAR T-cell therapy and haematology care.
Provide advanced psychosocial assessment, counselling, advocacy and care planning to patients, carers and families undergoing CAR T-cell therapy and related treatments.
Lead service improvement, research and policy initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and support evidence-based social work practice.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care across the treatment journey.

Are You the Right Fit?
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Social Worker who combines advanced clinical expertise with strong leadership skills. You will be confident managing complex cases, supporting vulnerable patients and families, and influencing service delivery through education, consultation and innovation.

Demonstrated advanced social work assessment, counselling and clinical reasoning skills, particularly within complex health, oncology or haematology settings.
Proven ability to work independently and provide specialist consultation, guidance and education to clinicians and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong leadership capabilities with experience in clinical supervision, mentoring and supporting professional development of staff and students.
Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and research, with the ability to drive initiatives that improve patient care and service outcomes.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

A Social Work degree which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
Demonstrated ability to provide expert social work intervention to patients with complex needs, exercising independent professional judgement and adapting practice to address complex clinical, psychosocial and ethical issues.
Demonstrated experience in providing specialist consultation and delivering high-quality education to patients, families, clinicians and other stakeholders, with the ability to promote consistent, safe and person-centred care across clinical and professional networks.
Demonstrated experience in quality improvement and service development, including identifying opportunities for improvement, developing and implementing new models of care or practice, engaging stakeholders, and embedding and sustaining change within a complex clinical environment.
Demonstrated experience in social work research and evidence-based practice, including the ability to collect, analyse and interpret data and develop appropriate outcome measures and key performance indicators to evaluate clinical effectiveness, client outcomes and the impact of the social work service.
Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P. Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
