Bus Driver (MR/LR) – Help Seniors Get Out and About
Casual | West Pennant Hills
Up to 10 hours per week
Some days, the most important part of someone’s week is getting out into the community — and you’ll make that possible. Drive our residents to appointments and outings with care, patience, and professionalism, and be part of a supportive team.
This role is ideal for an experienced, safety focused driver who’s looking for a small number of hours each week and enjoys friendly, people centred work. (If you’re looking for full time hours or high earning capacity, this won’t be the right fit.)
What you’ll be doing
- Safely transport residents to appointments, outings and activities, ensuring comfort and dignity
- Assist passengers with mobility support when boarding and disembarking
- Provide calm supervision and support during trips and outings
- Conduct daily safety checks, keep vehicle logs, and coordinate servicing/repairs
- Support the team as needed to help create a warm, inclusive environment.
What we’re looking for
- Current MR or LR licence and proven experience driving a bus.
- A genuine, respectful way of working with older people and those with diverse needs.
- Great communication, patience, and a team-first attitude
- Strong focus on safety and commitment to WHS practices
- Cert III in Aged Care is desirable, not essential.
Why join Uniting
- Exclusive discount and cashback program with major retailers.
- Access to Fitness Passport
- Access to wellbeing and support programs for you and your family
- Employee Referral Program - $500 bonus for each successful referral
