Golding are recruiting for a Mining Surveyor to join our South Walker Creek operation | Contract to 2030 | Flights, camp accommodation & meals provided

We are currently seeking an experienced Mining Surveyor to join our team at South Walker Creek. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the successful candidate will support our mining projects with mine surveying and operational technology assistance.
These roles operate on a 8:6 roster with flights, accommodation and meals provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of providing cutting-edge survey guidance to our mining operations
- Monitor and report compliance with the mine excavation and dump plans
- Calculate monthly excavation quantities to support production reporting and payment.
- Survey and validate active haul routes for payment calculations.
- Provide timely pickup, set-out and as-built surveys to support mining activities.
- Identify potential challenges and present innovative solutions to mitigate variances
- Take ownership of managing site survey equipment, including survey drones
- Communicate with the Client, Mining Supervisor, Mining Superintendent, and your Manager about any matters pertaining to survey control within the project
Capability Requirements:
- Formal Surveying Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of project experience in open-cut mining
- Demonstrated proficiency in surveying skills and knowledge
- Demonstrated understanding of coal mining processes
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships
- Demonstrated strong drive, energy, and work efficiency
- Software experience with Agisoft Metashape, Maptek Vulcan, Maptek PointStudio, Deswik, ArcGIS Pro (highly desirable)
- Hardware experience with Trimble GNSS and Total Stations, and DJI RTK Drones (highly desirable)
