What we’re looking for:
CHEF
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute dishes across all sections of the kitchen
- Assist in the development and refinement of menus and specials
- Maintain consistent quality, plating standards, and portioning
- Manage mise en place and prep for service
- Uphold food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team during service
What You Bring
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience)
- Passion for Japanese cuisine and modern dining concepts
- Experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and a genuine team player
- Current Food Handler's Certificate
KITCHEN STAFF
Responsibilities
- Support chefs with food preparation, cutting, and portioning
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, surfaces, and utensils
- Operate the dishwasher and manage dish/glassware throughput
- Assist with deliveries, storage, and stock rotation
- Contribute to end-of-shift cleaning procedures
- Follow all food safety and WHS guidelines
What You Bring
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work at a fast pace in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Physical stamina and attention to detail
- Food handler's certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Previous kitchen experience is a bonus — not required
Requirements
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
