Redpath Australia has been selected as the preferred mining contractor for the Northparkes E22 Block Cave Development Project in Parkes, NSW. We are seeking experienced Underground Charge Up Operators to join our growing team and help deliver one of Australia's most significant underground mining developments.
About the Role
As a Charge Up Operator, you will play a critical role in underground development activities, ensuring the safe and efficient charging of development headings in accordance with site procedures and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently charge underground development headings
- Handle and transport explosives in accordance with legislative requirements
- Operate charge-up equipment and vehicles
- Conduct pre-start inspections and equipment checks
- Maintain accurate charging and blast records
- Adhere to all safety standards, procedures and blast exclusion requirements
- Work closely with development crews and supervisors
- Identify and report hazards, incidents and improvement opportunities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Previous underground mining experience as a Charge Up Operator
- Current explosives handling qualifications and relevant competencies
- Strong understanding of underground drill and blast practices
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Relevant licences and tickets
- Current Australian work rights
Ability to meet site medical and employment requirements
