This is an exciting new position and opportunity for an experienced speech pathologist to join a supportive team leading and developing high quality services to adult sub-acute inpatients and outpatients based at Camden Hospital as part of the wider Campbelltown/Camden Hospitals Speech Pathology team. As a team leader and senior clinician, this position will be responsible for the inpatient/outpatient subacute rehabilitation and community palliative care streams based at Camden Hospital managing communication and swallowing disorders, including instrumental swallow assessments e.g. VFSS and/or FEES. This position will lead service development, provide supervision and training to staff and students, engage collaboratively with specialist multidisciplinary teams and work on quality improvement projects. The successful applicant will be well supported and have access to supervision and professional development. Under the guidance of the Head of Department, this team leader position will be responsible for developing, leading, and managing the delivery of speech pathology services at Camden Hospital including subacute inpatient rehabilitation, adult outpatients, and community palliative care services. As a specialist senior clinician, the speech pathologist will require a high level of clinical expertise to provide supportive clinical supervision to staff and students to ensure best possible outcomes for inpatient subacute rehabilitation, adult outpatient and palliative care caseloads. Flexibility to work across a range of subacute and acute inpatient and outpatient clinical streams and across sites to meet the needs of both the acute and subacute caseload is required.
