About Us:
Aria Mac is a small team of creatives and strategists based in Melbourne, and we’ve been building this dream for just under a year. Essentially, we are storytellers. We love human connection, we love what we do, and we think our job is incredibly important and rewarding. We work across all kinds of industries — fashion, wellness, food & bevs, professional services — making things look put together while being incredibly effective.
We’re growing, and we’re looking for someone who wants to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced, but deeply rewarding environment. If you love a challenge and hate boring content, you're in the right place.
The Role: We are looking for a video editor that is organized, efficient, and creative to join our team part-time. In this role, you will own our post-production pipeline — taking raw footage shot by our team and turning it into polished, conversion-led social content. Because we work across diverse industries, you need to have a native understanding of both high-fidelity production values and raw, (sometimes lower-fidelity) fast-paced short-form content.
We don’t want someone who just "delivers a brief." We want an active collaborator who brings fresh ideas to the table rather than sitting back — someone with distinct style and that unique creative touch! While this is primarily a work-from-home position (we know video editors love their PCs!!), we love to meet up from time to time for team hangouts and celebrations, so you must be based in Melbourne.
What You’ll Do:
- Pre-Production & Brainstorming: Actively contribute original ideas in team brainstorming sessions, helping shape the visual concepts and style before our creative team gathers assets.
- Edit: Take the lead on our post-production pipeline, editing raw footage into highly engaging, conversion-led social content.
- Premium Finishing: Handle proper, high-quality colour grading with extreme attention to detail. You have a natural knack for storytelling and make really thoughtful, considered editing decisions.
- Team Collaboration: Proactively liaise with the Social Media Manager and Director to keep creative direction aligned and moving forward.
- Pipeline Ownership: Maintain exceptional time management and strong communication to hit turnaround times.
About You:
- Master of the Craft: You have solid experience editing vertical video formats using Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- You don't "just" make videos: You understand pacing, hooks, storytelling and retention strategies inside out.
- Original Thinker: You bring fresh, creative ideas to the pacing and style of an edit. We don’t do boring content here.
- Reliable Team Member: You treat deadlines with respect. You communicate proactively, take real ownership of your pipeline, and love collaborating with a team.
- Curious & Driven: You are obsessed with digital culture, constantly analyzing what makes videos perform, and want to scale your career alongside a growing agency.
How to Apply:
Please attach your resume, your portfolio/showreel, and your cover letter.
In your cover letter, we don't want to hear about your experience—we want to hear about who YOU are. Tell us everything! Your hobbies, your passions, and your interests.
Please note: We will strictly not be reviewing applications that do not include a showreel or examples of past vertical video work.
Pay: $30.00 – $36.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
