We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist who is friendly, organised, and passionate about providing exceptional customer service. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of establishing a new practice and help create a positive experience for our patients from day one.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting patients in a professional and welcoming manner
- Managing appointments, bookings and recalls
- Answering telephone enquiries and responding to emails
- Processing patient billing, Medicare, DVA and EFTPOS transactions
- Managing patient records and maintaining confidentiality
- Managing incoming correspondence and medical records
- Supporting daily administrative and practice operations
- Assisting with accreditation and quality improvement activities when required
About You
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist in General Practice (essential)
- Experience using Best Practice software (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of Medicare billing, Care Plans and Health Assessments
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional presentation and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
