An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist -Graduate to join the SCHHS Occupational Therapy new graduate program which provides rotational opportunities across acute and subacute clinical allocations and facilities within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. Occupational Therapy new graduates are supported through the SCHHS OT education program and professional supervision arrangements. Occupational Therapy new graduate clinicians within allied health work, as a team to meet clinical demand in keeping with the Clinical Prioritisation Document, delivering graduate level clinical services as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team; to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate competent knowledge, expertise and skill in the provision of Occupational Therapy services commensurate with level of experience in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, existing evidence-based practice and established clinical protocols. For complex or novel cases, you will seek direction from clinical seniors as appropriate.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and patient records in line with Departmental, Unit and Health Service procedures, and contribute to the maintenance of accurate and timely information systems (statistics collection, quality data). Ensure that time spent across clinical and non-clinical work is in keeping with assigned requirements.
- Commit to ongoing professional, service and individual development through participation in activities including professional development activities, professional supervision, supervision of students or clinical assistants, research activities.
Remuneration value up to $128 706 p.a., comprising salary between $76 747 - $112 805 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP3) (Fixed-Term Temp F/T, 76hrs p.f. for up to 12mths). Applications will remain current for 12 months / the duration of the vacancy.
