About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across an established portfolio of construction clients while identifying and securing new business opportunities for modular site compound hire solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a market-leading business and play a key role in helping major construction projects operate efficiently through innovative temporary facilities and site infrastructure solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
As a trusted partner to your clients, you'll be responsible for growing revenue, expanding market presence, and ensuring customers receive exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle.
You will:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing construction and infrastructure clients.
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within your portfolio.
- Build strong relationships with project managers, procurement teams, site managers, and key decision-makers.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender submissions that deliver value and win work.
- Track upcoming construction projects and proactively engage emerging market players.
- Collaborate closely with operations and project delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Analyse market trends, pricing strategies, and competitor activity to support business growth.
- Maximise hire opportunities through a consultative sales approach and deep understanding of client project requirements.
About You:
With a proven hunter mindset and a track record of identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities while successfully growing existing client relationships, you'll ideally bring:
- B2B sales and business development experience.
- Experience within the modular buildings industry, construction, equipment hire, temporary infrastructure, or related contract service sectors.
- Strong understanding of modular site compounds, portable buildings, site accommodation, or temporary facilities solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage pricing, prepare tenders, and develop winning proposals.
- A strategic and data-driven approach to territory and account management.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- A customer-first mindset focused on long-term partnerships.
- Experience working collaboratively across sales, operations, and project delivery teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce will be highly regarded.
