Busy, fast paced and large city barbecue restaurant (300 seaters) looking for an experienced COOK.
Responsible for preparation and delivery of high quality food and to ensure the highest levels of professionalism are maintained in a consistent service quality and to perform tasks that affect the day-to-day operation of the restaurant kitchen.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Observe and execute correct procedures and administration for opening and closing the kitchen daily
- Ensure all the prep is completed with expected standards
- Complete employee time sheet procedure accurately, daily, including breaks
- Menu and food understanding, prepare and serve following standardized recipes and correct procedures
- Ensure all kitchen machinery is operated according to correct procedure
- Observe and supervise correct food safety standards, and report any instances where these standards are breached
- Manage overall hygiene and aesthetic cleanliness of all kitchen areas
- Complete Jobs and tasks in regard to prep lists and cleaning rosters as required/directed
- Deliveries are accepted in safe and hygienic manner, conforming to appropriate legislation
- Adhere to all Occupational Health & Safety requirements
- Adhere to company standards for personal grooming, appearance and hygiene
- Ensure disposal and recycling is carried out in correct and environmentally friendly way following guideline set by the management
- Be aware of situations where the image of our restaurant is represented and ensure good customer relations at all times
- Maintain an appropriate working relationship with all employees, front and back of house
- Maintain good communication with management regarding any problems or changes

Pay: $78,000.00 – $82,000.00 per year
