We are looking for a Jnr Construction site surveyor / steel detailer to join our team on a fulltime basis. The successful candidate will be responsible to perform various site surveying and drafting tasks, including but not limited to the following:-
Responsibilities
- Learn and use the Trimble Robotic Total Station
- Site surveying/asbuild of existing steel beams, columns, walls and floors as required by the drafting team (using the total station)
- Provide DWG file of asbuild
- Site set out of Anchors/Holding Down Bolts to high accuracy (+/- 3mm)
- Use gathered information to shop detail small structural items
- Provide shop drawings/sketches for fabrication and installation (Using Tekla Structures - training provided)
Skills
- Self-motivated with a can do attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of reading construction drawings
- Previous Tech Drawing Experience
- Familiar with construction sites
Education
- Diploma in surveying (favourable)
- Tech Drawing Experience (favourable)
- Trimble total station operation to be taught on job
- Drafting software Tekla Structures training to be provided on job
- Height access training/VOC to be provided
Experience
- The role is unique to the requirements of the company, a strong desire to learn is highly favourable.
- Understanding of construction practices in theory
- Worked in a surveying or drafting office (not critical but favourable)
- Experience in Structural Steel or On site construction works (favourable)
- “Tech Drawing” experience (favourable)

- Valid Drivers License
- Valid NSW Workcover “white card”

Pay: $52,367.59 – $104,425.79 per year
