We are hiring a Head Chef to lead one of our flagship Italian venues in Shellharbour. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a well-established kitchen within a growing restaurant group known for quality, consistency, and strong team culture.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the full kitchen operation, leading a team, driving food quality, and maintaining strong cost control. This role suits a chef who enjoys both creativity and structure, and who can deliver consistently in a high-volume environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading, training, and developing the kitchen team
- Managing service to ensure quality and consistency
- Menu input and seasonal updates aligned with our Italian concept
- Stock control, ordering, and supplier management
- Managing food cost, wage targets, and kitchen KPIs
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and WHS standards
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced kitchens
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Solid understanding of food cost control and kitchen systems
- Passion for Italian cuisine (traditional or modern)
- Reliable, organised, and hands-on

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
