We're currently seeking experienced Community Registered Nurses to join our growing team on a casual basis, with opportunities to transition into part-time or permanent roles as we continue to expand.
What You'll Be Doing
No two days are the same! As a Community Registered Nurse, you'll provide person-centred clinical care while building meaningful relationships with participants and their support networks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, high-quality nursing care within the community
- Providing clinical assessments, education and consultation
- Wound assessments, treatment, and ongoing management
- Conducting comprehensive continence assessments and reports, prescribing appropriate continence products, developing individualised management plans, and preparing detailed clinical reports and documentation - Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) level or above required for this component of the role
- Provide specialised continence care, including urinary catheter management and the insertion and replacement of Indwelling Urethral Catheters (IDC) and Suprapubic Catheters (SPC) within the community setting
- Preparing accurate clinical documentation, assessment reports, and recommendations
- Developing pressure injury prevention and management plans
- Education and training for support workers and care staff - education, coaching and clinical guidance to support workers, participants, families, and carers
- Collaborating with GPs, Allied Health professionals, carers, families, and other stakeholders
- Supporting participants to achieve their health goals while promoting independence and wellbeing
- Working across a rotating roster, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, public holidays and/or sleepover shifts
- Travelling between participants throughout the day

Essential Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Current Australian working rights
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Completion of the COVID-19 Infection Control Training
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations, including booster
- Minimum 1 year of disability support or community nursing experience
Highly Regarded
- Working With Children Check
- Current National Police Check
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Reliable, insured vehicle for community travel
