Temporary Register Details: Legislation, Policy and Programs (LPP) maintain a temporary employment register of suitably skilled applicants with policy and/or programs experience.
This is a temporary employment register that will be used to fill full-time and part-time Administrative Service Officer Class 6 to Senior Officer Grade A. It will be used to fill non-ongoing vacancies from a few weeks up to six months only.
Roles will be filled based on operational requirements and the business needs of the organisation. There is no guarantee that an offer of employment will be made while an application remains on the register.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

Experience in policy is highly desirable.

A law degree or other relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in an appropriate field is highly desirable.

To be eligible for employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.

If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.

All new employees to the ACT Government are required to undergo an Australian Federal Police National Police Check. The check assists in determining the suitability of applicants for employment.

Note: Under the ACTPS employment framework you may be placed in another role where required for the efficient administration of the service.
