Due to growth in the Capability Lifecycle Manager (CLCM) program an exciting opportunity is now available for Procurement Officers based at Henderson WA.

The Procurement Assistant is accountable to the Inventory Procurement Lead to support development and proactive management of the procurement requirements across the vessels lifecycle – underpinning the availability of the ships to Navy.
Key Responsibilities:

Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to clarify, define and refine the scope of supply, supply requirements and statement of work for the procurement.

Support procurement through to delivery, ensuring delivery of supply to the required schedule, scope and quality

Support supplier engagement activities, including negotiations and supplier performance management (where appropriate).

Approach the market including obtaining quotes, releasing request for tender, evaluating offers, and assessing the market’s capacity to supply.

Manage compliance with procurement process and ensure all required approvals are in place prior to purchase order release.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
-
Able to be trained to understand and execute supply chain policies and procedures.

Ability to deliver day-to-day objectives which have some impact on achievement of results for the work area.

Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.

A general awareness of systems and procedures relating to the work area.

High school, secondary school or equivalent education is desirable.
