Your Impact
As the
Product Manager – Industrial Automation, reporting to the Business Manager, you will step into a highly visible role with the opportunity to shape one of NHP’s strategically important portfolios and directly influence commercial performance.
This is an opportunity for a commercially sharp product leader to take ownership of portfolio performance and drive measurable outcomes, bringing proven product and category management disciplines in a high-performance environment where results matter.
Key responsibilities
- Own the performance, lifecycle and execution of a major Automation product portfolio, with accountability for revenue growth, margin outcomes and portfolio optimisation
- Develop and execute clear product and category strategies aligned to business and financial year plans
- Lead new product introductions from business case through to launch and adoption
- Drive pricing strategy, margin optimisation and portfolio review activity to maximise performance and identify growth opportunities
- Build and manage strong supplier and manufacturing partner relationships, including negotiations and joint initiatives
- Influence and align cross-functional teams across Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Digital, Supply Chain and Finance to deliver portfolio outcomes
- Shape value proposition, positioning and enablement for internal teams and customers
- Apply structured product and category management frameworks to support disciplined, data-led decision-making
- Leverage market, customer and competitor insights to inform portfolio direction and strategy
- Contribute as a trusted senior contributor across broader portfolio and business initiatives
What you’ll bring
- Extensive experience in Product or Category Management, with a strong track record of delivering commercial outcomes
- Experience within industrial automation is strongly preferred; experience in electrical engineering, electronics or a closely related technical industry will also be considered
- Demonstrated success managing and growing complex portfolios, with clear accountability for performance outcomes
- Highly developed commercial acumen, with the ability to translate strategy into measurable results and make disciplined, data-driven decisions
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to translate insight into clear priorities and execution
- Experience applying structured product management and/or category management frameworks to support disciplined decision-making and portfolio performance
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and drive outcomes in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders without direct authority or reporting lines
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, Marketing or a related field (preferred)

The remuneration package will be based on the skills and experience of the successful applicant (base salary, superannuation and company discretionary bonus).
