The Position
Climate change, the low carbon energy transition, and the management of disasters, are crucial issues for Australia, the Asia Pacific region, and the world. The Institute for Climate, Energy and Disaster Solutions (ICEDS) at The Australian National University (ANU) advances innovative solutions to climate change, the low carbon energy system transition, and disaster resilience and risk management, by catalysing the University’s world-class fundamental and translational research, supporting engagement with ANU research and researchers, implementing a program of world-leading executive education, and facilitating research opportunities by supporting transdisciplinary communities and leadership opportunities for ICEDS researchers and staff.
The Strategic Research and Partnerships Manager works with key ICEDS staff, including the Director, Institute Manager, other Programs and Institute staff, to effectively develop partnership opportunities and knowledge exchange between ICEDS members. The Manager will be required to develop strong working relationships with external partners domestically and internationally, in order to develop and maximise external funding and engagement opportunities by brokering partnerships and leading complex funding negotiations across the ANU, community partners, government, and industry.
