Based in NSW Parliament, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales. The Executive Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director, Corporate Services and plays a pivotal role in ensuring effective and seamless executive office operations. As a trusted partner, the role provides a broad range of customer-focused coordination and administrative services to support delivery of business operations and the unit's program of work

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Provide administrative and coordination support to the Executive Director, Corporate Services and the broader Corporate Services team
- Respond to and resolve enquiries and issues, providing accurate information and timely support
- Coordinate and manage records, databases and business information in line with relevant systems, processes and policies
- Develop, monitor and improve office systems, procedures and work methods to support effective operations
- Gather and collate information, prepare documentation and reports, and support improvements to service delivery, cost management and business processes
- Unit performance, as well as make recommendations to improve efficiency, cost management and service delivery
Key Challenges
- Delivering customer service focussed, executive level administrative services and negotiating workable timeframes
- Working within tight time frames, given competing client demands and priorities, the need to address unforeseen issues, the high volume of work and the need to work independently
