ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a relationship-led, high-value role for someone who's commercially sharp, technically confident, and ready to take their sales career to the next level with a brand that builders already respect. You'll join a dedicated sales team that already has runs on the board, and will contribute to our continued success by hunting for new business opportunities across South Australia. This is a field-based sales role, with most of your time spent on the road meeting builders, developing customer relationships and driving new project opportunities, supported by regular time in our Head Office based in Lionsgate Business Park, Elizabeth South.
In this role you will be fully responsible for:
- Winning new residential builder clients and developing a pipeline across South Australia
- Managing and growing key accounts with volume and custom builders by using Stairlock's extensive quoted project database
- Presenting at every level: site supervisors, procurement managers, boardroom
- Negotiating, and converting staircase contracts and projects
- Providing confident technical advice across our product range: MDF, American Oak, custom timber, steel, glass
- Maintaining accurate sales data: forecasting, margin analysis, pipeline
- Representing Stairlock at builder events, trade expos, and HIA/MBA forums
- Building your professional profile and Stairlock's visibility through LinkedIn engagement
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
To be a good fir for this role and our business, you will demonstrate:
- 2+ years in B2B sales or business development — construction or building products preferred
- Success selling to medium-density or custom residential builders
- Strong negotiation skills, with genuine commercial acumen; you understand margin, not just price
- Ability to read building plans and translate them into product solutions
- Strong systems skills: NetSuite or similar ERP/CRM, BCI Central, Excel, Outlook
- Solid working knowledge of the Adelaide and regional SA builder landscape
- Full driver's licence
- National Police Clearance
A background in stairs, doors, windows, or building systems is a genuine advantage.
