We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accountant to join our team. Reporting to senior management, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organisation while supporting our mission of delivering high-quality services to people living with disability.

- Prepare monthly financial reports, management accounts and reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Support end-of-month and end-of-year financial processes.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, financial and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
- Maintain accurate financial records and reporting systems.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance and provide recommendations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and business practices.
- Work collaboratively with management and operational teams to support organisational objectives.
- Assist with NDIS-related financial reporting and funding acquittals where required.
- Uphold the organisation’s values and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Experience working within the disability, community services, healthcare or not-for-profit sector.
- Knowledge and understanding of NDIS funding, compliance and reporting requirements.
- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards).
NDIS experience is highly regarded but not essential. We welcome applications from experienced accountants looking to bring their skills into the community services sector.
