A typical day in the role may look like…
- Supporting clients to achieve their recovery goals and build independence.
- Assisting clients to access and participate in community activities, such as attending GP appointments, visiting local parks and cafés, and engaging in social outings.
- Encouraging participation in recreational activities, including playing games and other leisure interests.
- Assisting with the preparation of morning and evening meals.
- Dispensing medication in accordance with care plans and procedures.
- Providing support with personal care tasks while promoting dignity and choice.
- Building positive relationships and supporting clients to maintain community connections and social engagement.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A genuine desire to witness individuals achieving their recovery goals.
- Availability to work evenings, including weekends.
- Willingness to assist with personal care, including showering.
- Minimal experience in computer and administrative skills.
- Eagerness to undergo training in areas like manual handling, medication administration and any other necessary skills to help our customers live independently.

- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
